State of the World Forum, the premier nonprofit catalyst of great conversations that matter into actions that make a difference, invites globally minded citizens to participate in our ambitious schedule of events planned for 1999.
The Forum, working in partnership with the Belfast City Council and Project Planning International, will convene an international gathering in Belfast and Dublin, May 4-9, 1999, to examine The Challenge of Reconciliation: Diversity and Community in a Global Age. This conference will provide a platform to explore new forms of trust and reconciliation. The program is designed to facilitate the sharing of experiences and highlight examples of people coming together to transform their communities and relationships.
Conference Co-Chairs include 1998 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates David Trimble and John Hume. They will be joined by other Nobel Laureates, senior statesmen, religious leaders, community activists, business executives and social entrepreneurs from across Europe and around the world for four days of intense dialogue concerning the development of innovative ways to solve problems and build community.
